FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions: Cabinet Updates Made Simple

Getting Started

Can I replace just the doors and drawer fronts on my existing cabinets?

Yes! Replacing cabinet doors and drawer fronts is an effective way to update the look of your kitchen without the cost or hassle of a full renovation.

Is cabinet door & drawer front replacement cheaper than new cabinets?

Replacing just the doors is significantly more cost-effective than replacing the entire cabinet structure, saving you thousands of dollars.

Do you have a minimum number of pieces per order?

For unfinished cabinet doors and drawer fronts, we can work small quantities into our schedule alongside other orders. This might cause some delay in timing, but we estimate timing when we provide your quote.

For full replacement & refinishing, we need to do the entire kitchen in order to match finish or paint.

Will new custom made cabinet doors work with my store-bought cabinets?

Absolutely! We design doors to fit your existing cabinets, whether they’re custom-made or from a big-box store like Home Depot or IKEA.

Materials & Quality

What materials do you use for replacement cabinet door?

We use real hardwood and plywood for durability and a premium finish. Unlike thermofoil or MDF cabinet doors, our materials are built to last years and withstand daily kitchen use.

Are your finished environmentally friendly?

We use low and zero-VOC (volatile organic compounds) paints and primers, which means it doesn’t contain as many harmful chemicals that can contribute to air pollution and health problems. Furthermore, our finishes are low-odor while curing and can be cleaned up with soap and water once cured.

Maintenance & Longevity

What’s the lifespan of your cabinet doors?

With proper care, our hardwood and plywood cabinet doors can last for decades, far outliving cheaper alternatives like thermofoil.

How do I maintain my new kitchen cabinet doors?

Regular cleaning with a warm damp cloth and mild detergent is sufficient. Avoid abrasives or harsh chemical cleaners to protect the finish.

Can my new cabinet doors be repaired?

Yes, one of the key advantages of our hardwood and plywood cabinet doors is their repairability. Unlike thermofoil or MDF, which can peel, warp, or crack irreparably, solid wood and plywood doors can be sanded, patched, and repainted to look like new. Whether it’s fixing a scratch or refreshing the finish, these materials offer longevity and flexibility, making them a smart long-term investment for your home.
